94 mercury topaz harmonic balancer / engine drop?

ive got a 94 Mercury topaz 2.3l and was told awhile back i needed a new harmonic balancer (something about missing rubber) now my belt is slipping and its really loud + i think i see metal shavings starting to come off. can i just replace the sleeve? if so which one there seems to be two. also i have to drop my engine to do this...how exactly do i go about doing this? is it just the 1 motor mount i have to remove?or are there other things ill have to take off ty
