How to fix the cable on a lawn mower?

I was mowing my lawn with my self propelled lawn mower when the metal bar that connects the cable to the handle bar in the back snapped. Is there anyway I can repair or replace this bar without buying a new lawn mower? It's a Briggs Stratton brand.
