Questions about 9 month old son?

Hi. My son will 9 months on tomorrow - time flies! Hes been "cruising" since about 7 months and now hes just standing up on his own from a sitting position.(not holding onto anything) He will just stand there so proudly and then let himself sit back down slowly. Tell me that hes not going to walk yet! lol - I want him to stay little :) How long after your baby started standing on their own did he/she walk? Also, my older son and I kept pointing to the chandelier last night and saying "light". I swear it sounded like my baby said "ite" then he did it again a few times but it was more like "I". Could he really have been saying it? Isnt it a bit too young for that? Thanks :)
