You shouldn't have bought that puppy knowing all of those things were going on. Thats the reason puppy mills stay in business cause people feel so bad for the pups and they just buy off emotions. The best thing would have been to turn the pup down or take it back and call Animal Control. You could have still adopted one of his pups from the shelter.
