My b/f has no male friends, with the exception of family members.?

He can make friends with women very easily. He is not a super-macho man, he doesn't go all out for sports, we don't sit in bars or clubs. He is not your average guy. He's not gay, yet we have both had gay acquaintances. He just can't figure out what's wrong with him, and I don't know how to help. He can empathise with women and help them with there problems. He is a big baseball, and football fan, but not to extreme. He likes golf. I am trying to teach him the finer points of hockey and nascar.
