What plugs do i use to get sound out of a peavey XR-1200 mixer?

i recently found a peavey XR-1200 on a throwout pile adn im not sure if it is broken or not because i dont know where abouts to plug things in, i was planning on plugging my guitar into it and my amp out, would this work? or do i need something else? if it will where do i plug things in, i dont mind what channel i use. cheers
